5 Things to remember when buying an overseas property!

1. Luxury is in the eye of the beholder and by our design! Luxury is a concept, and it can be a different vision from one person to another's. Simply owning a property abroad can be considered a luxury! 2. Do your homework before viewing properties! Viewing too many properties often leads to disappointment, and no decision, often regretted. It's confusing, and can mean you have a bad agent whose not listening to you. Make a list then pair it down to no more than six potential properties. A good agent will listen, and work to match your dreams and desires with what really works for you in practise! 3. Listen to your Agent and Lawyer; it's a head over heart decision! Many try and cut the agent out or do the legal work themselves, this is where real danger lies and problems arise. A good collaboration between agent and lawyer will most likely save you money, and protect your investment! Ask us about our highly skilled professional International lawyers, that we recommend! 4. Do your homework on the surrounding area! The property might be just what you're looking for, but does the area suit your needs? Think carefully about the type of community you want to live in, what your personal needs are going to be, e.g. shopping, pool, beach, entertainment and dining, transport, etc.! 5. Beware of the poolside and barstool 'experts'! People love a disaster story more than a success! So many potential buyers have been misguided by these self proclaimed experts. People often don't like to see others doing better than them, and so will try and persuade you they know best! Ask us about our highly skilled professional International lawyers, that we recommend!
